Fired to enhance durability while preserving its raw texture, the vase maintains a natural, matte finish. This process ensures that every natural terracotta Sculptural Clay Vase carries its own visual story, shaped by fire, material, and human touch.

Each vase is hand-modeled by artisans in Zagora using natural terracotta. The fabrication process requires a careful and gradual firing cycle to ensure durability and prevent cracks. The clay is slowly heated, typically between 900 and 1050°C for the first firing (biscuit), to avoid thermal shock. The piece must first dry slowly until around 600°C to allow moisture to escape, before the temperature rises more quickly to the final plateau. Cooling is equally critical: the kiln must return naturally below 100°C before being opened to prevent fissures.
